What I’m Doing Today: Photo Journey
A 5 mile hike through San Francisco.
Here’s a little look at my day. You get to see it before I live it! One of the things I do at YWAM San Francisco is produce our newsletters. That means I’m in charge of layout, editing, story writing, photography, mailing logistics - The whole production process. Our next newsletter is our big end of year print newsletter, translated: It has to be good.
Usually, what I do is go to Creative Commons and do a Flickr search for pictures of San Francisco and what I’m looking for, and then use those pictures in the newsletters, but that’s for the bi-monthly email newsletters. Since this is the big one, I’m going out to take the shots myself, all around the city. That means, all today from about 1:00-5 or 6, I’ll be hiking around SF in a giant loop to take pictures of the city and the places we reach out to.
The introduction of the hike will be up Nob and Russian Hill, an almost 45° angle upward slope. Then, I’ll be tracking down through Chinatown, the Financial District, The Embarcadero, and then down through Soma to a place I saw once and would like to take shots of. Google Maps says it’ll take 1 1/2 hours, but with stopping to take photos, sitting from exhaustion, I’m guessing it;ll be around 4. Wish me luck! I’ll share some of my shots after I get back and have a chance to edit them.
I’m so excited to have borrowed a camera!!
